Cooperating Agencies

Tijuana River NERR is a partnership between the United States and the State of California that links the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service and California State Parks. In addition, several regional agencies and local municipalities share ownership and management responsibilities at the Tijuana River NERR.

The Management Authority is the multi-agency body that coordinates policy and operations throughout the Tijuana River NERR. Through voluntary participation in the Management Authority, member agencies consent to establish policies, jointly promote Tijuana River NERR programs and cooperate to provide resources to accomplish the missions of the Tijuana River NERR and the constituent land systems.
