WHAT:
Kids are invited to explore San Diego’s diverse museums — for FREE! From October 1 – 31,  children ages 12 and under receive free admission with a paid adult (limit 2) at more than 40 museums. Download the coupon and use it to explore museums. Remember, you need one coupon per museum visit, so download additional copies. One coupon is good for up to two free child admissions with one full-price paid adult admission*. Some restrictions apply. See details below.

Museum Mash-Up!

It’s a great time to be a kid in San Diego when museums, entertainment and opera collide at Museum Mash Up on Saturday, October 8, 10 am – 2 pm.

Museum Mash Up will be held at The New Children’s Museum Park, 200 W. Island Ave., in downtown San Diego. Interactive art, culture and fun with museums, including The New Children’s Museum, San Diego Botanic Garden, Barona Cultural Center & Museum, San Diego Chinese Historical Museum, The San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Model Railroad Museum, Heritage of the Americas Museum, Cabrillo National Monument, Tijuana Estuary Visitor Center, Living Coast Discovery Center and The Water Conservation Garden.

Performances by Ms. Smarty-Plants, Southern Sea Lion Chinese Dancers and Opera on Track, San Diego Opera presents Rossini’s Cinderella!

Kona Ice will be on-site selling shave ice treats for kids, with a percentage of sales being donated to the San Diego Museum Council and The New Children’s Museum Cafe, Green Bellies, will be open for business right next door.

The park and museum area easily accessible by bus or trolley. Children 12 and under ride free with a paid adult on the MTS trolley and bus routes on Saturdays and Sundays!
