Park Interpretive Specialist (Seasonal)

Salary: $17.73 - $21.50 per hour
The Park Interpretive Specialist (PIS) will provide innovative in-person and virtual interpretation along San Diego Bay, the ocean, and at the largest coastal wetland in southern California. The PIS will conduct K-12 programs including Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students (PORTS) programs, Passports blended-access, and in-person programs. They will plan and conduct informal programs such Junior Rangers, Campfire programs, Kayak Tours, and Discovery Tables as well as roving interpretation. The PIS will lead in-person class presentations or in-person field trips with local schools, including Adventure Pass programs. Some interpretive planning and exhibit development will also be required. Spanish fluency is preferred. The reporting location is Silver Strand State Beach and Tijuana Estuary Natural Preserve.
